Island Pathways started in 1988, to get a bikeway through Salt Spring Island. This takes a lot of background work and planning, advocacy and persistence.
By 2013, a great deal of our material went into the Pedestrian & Cycling Master Plan: Salt Spring Island Edition, the ‘bible’ for all future work. Click here or on the title to open it.
It’s a key document for partnering with local, regional, and provincial governments to complete a multi-use, roadside regional trail through the island.
